The Falcon Economy
Falconry is more than a sport in the GCC — it is an expression of identity, lineage, and cultural pride recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Heritage across 14 nations since 2016. The UAE alone is home to the world's largest falcon hospital, treating over 11,000 birds annually under government mandate.
Elite falconers represent an ultra-high-net-worth demographic accustomed to precision technology in every domain of their lives. Premium Saker and Peregrine falcons trade at prices comparable to racehorses. The ecosystem — equipment, auctions, breeding, healthcare — is worth an estimated $3 billion annually across the UAE, KSA, and Qatar.
This is the market Rasid was built for.
The Challenge
The market's dominant solution relies on analog radio frequency signals requiring line-of-sight reception and a handheld antenna. No cloud. No app. No data.
Falconers must physically pursue their bird with a receiver. In desert terrain, this is dangerous and often futile — lost falcon recovery with RF-only systems falls below 60%.
No speed data, altitude, G-force, or flight pattern analysis. Owners invest $50K–$250K per bird with near-zero performance visibility.
Existing GPS add-ons drain rapidly in high-heat GCC conditions, requiring frequent charging that conflicts directly with active hunting schedules.
Our Solution
A precision telemetry platform engineered from the ground up for the demands of GCC falconry — not adapted from a generic outdoor tracker, but purpose-built for this world.
"I have lost two falcons this season to equipment failure. A $180,000 bird, gone."
UAE Falconer — 2024
Rasid is the first purpose-built smart telemetry platform designed specifically for the GCC falconry segment. No competitor combines real-time GPS, solar charging, flight analytics, a subscription platform, and GCC-optimised hardware in a single system weighing under 15 grams.
The Rasid Falcon Tracker is currently in field-testing with UAE falconers. Commercial launch is planned for early 2027 following CE/FCC certification and full manufacturing scale-up.
Our Vision
We are building the world's leading falcon telemetry platform — starting with the GCC, the world's richest and most passionate falconry market, then expanding across Central Asia, Africa, and international raptor sports.
